My Background

After 12 years in the classroom, I moved from classroom teaching into full-time tutoring. With rising class sizes, increasing school fees, and growing pressures on staff time, tutoring offered me the opportunity to provide students with what they really need: regular, targeted, and personalised support.

Unlike many graduate tutors, I hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and have examined for multiple exam boards. This means I understand the criteria and standards against which students’ scripts are marked.

Unlike many teacher-tutors, I tutor full time and work with some of the leading agencies in the country. This allows me to fully understand what makes tutoring distinct from classroom teaching. It also means I have the time and focus to work closely with your child, rather than fitting sessions around marking, meetings, and other school commitments.

In addition to the qualifications listed below, I am a full member of The Tutors’ Association and a member of The Chartered College of Teaching.
